| In Alberta, using this system, we have been able to reduce our Carbon Dioxide footprint by .792 tons, our Sulphur Dioxide by 2.020 Kg and the amount of Nitric Oxide by 1.330 Kg.
| In Ontario we have been able to reduce our Carbon Dioxide by .219 tons, our Sulphur Dioxide by .647 Kg and the amount of Nitric Oxide by .279 Kg.
| We have added our BC office to the Bullfrog family in the spring of 2009, and look forward to seeing what we are able to save from the environment. We look forward to converting more Christie Lites shops in the future.

| CHRISTIE LITES E-WASTE IN VANCOUVER | | | Christie Lites Vancouver’s computer equipment is recycled through Free Geek. They accept all hardware in any condition. The main reason that we send our old computers and printers there is that it's not just recycled, it's reused.
| Free Geek will take old equipment and fix it up. Once this is done, they redistribute to people that cannot afford to buy a computer themselves. If the product cannot be reused then it will be recycled. Using this service, we are able to give back to the community.
| Unfortunately, a lot of computer equipment is dumped outside and then stripped for copper and other metals. This is not only a waste but releases toxins into our environment. For more information on Free Geek please visit their website.

| OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES | | | Office printers and copiers have been replaced over the past two years to allow the installation of the most energy efficient units only. Duplex printing, Toner-saver, and standby mode settings are encouraged whenever viable, through an ongoing employee awareness program.
| Distribution of financial and administrative information, reports, documents, etc. has been reduced through our growing IT infrastructure and centralized data storage facilities. The goal of the ‘paperless’ office is still a long way off, but we have seen a relative decrease in paper usage which will continue to ramp up over time.
| Here at Christie Lites we are committed to finding new and better ways to reduce our footprint on the planet. Last year we changed the way we purchase all of our fog fluid for the shops. We now purchase fog fluid in large 5 gallon pails. This allows us to have a large amount on hand without having multiple plastic bottles around. We are able to refill old bottles to send to our shows as well as refill the bottles in the foggers.
| In the new year, we look forward to offering this service to our clients where they can bring their empty bottles to us for refilling. Although the costs are not much different to our clients, we are sure that many of you will be happy to bring in the empty bottles for refilling thus cutting your footprint on the environment as well.
| Christie Lites is pleased to announce that effective 01 July 2009, we no longer purchase polystyrene packing peanuts. We are presently trying out a new idea of using shredded paper that we have recycled. We are also looking into packing peanuts that are biodegradable and safe for the environment.

| ALL CHRISTIE LITES LOCATIONS - E-CYCLING | | | Christie Lites is on the move to send its electronic waste to Noranda Recycling. Old computers, monitors, phone systems, and anything electronic can be sent to Noranda, who have an exceptionally high standard for recycling. None of what Noranda receives ends up in landfills. For more information please visit the Noranda web site or read the attached PDF.
| Note: Noranda will take anything with a plug on it, with the exception of "white goods" (stoves and fridges). |

| CHRISTIE LITES ORLANDO | | | Christie Lites Orlando is pleased to utilize the services of Orlando Waste Paper Recycling in Central Florida. In a quest to find a suitable recycler Dan Souwand and Huntly Christie toured OWP's facilities and were impressed by their ability to separate and recycle virtually every product we dispose of in our Orlando shop (the only exception being styrofoam).

| CHRISTIE LITES CALGARY | | | In May of 2006 Christie Lites Calgary initiated the services of BFI's recycling program. In the first year alone over 84 cubic yards of recyclable materials were diverted from area landfills. Utilizing the rather simple process of materials separation Calgary’s cardboard, paper, shrink wrapping, bottles, cans, newspaper, all lamps and bulb types head to appropriate destinations for recycling.

| PURCHASING / VENDOR INITIATIVES | | | Many of our rental equipment products have traditionally been shipped from the manufacturer in non-reusable cardboard containers with foam or plastic shock protection. We have commenced a plan whereby rather than shipping these products (primarily lighting fixtures and accessories) in consumer packaging, we now send our traveling cases direct to the vendor’s factory, where the new units are loaded directly into them there. This not only cuts down on wasted single-use packaging, but it also reduces transport space and therefore fuel usage.
| Our central purchasing strategies allow for much higher delivery efficiencies, with many products being ordered and delivered to central locations, less often, and distributed through our internal transport methods on an as-needed basis. This reduces freight and fuel usage significantly.

| PLASTIC RECYCLING IN CANADA | | | Christie Lites is now using West Coast Plastic Recycling Inc. to recycle its soft plastics. This includes shrink wrap, bubble wrap, bags, packaging foam, strapping etc.
| Although there is no way to determine exactly how much soft plastic we are keeping out of the landfills, we are able to provide a rough estimate. In 2008, we have sent out 30 fish totes from the Vancouver office. A fish tote is 4' by 4' by 4'.
| The soft plastic makes it's way here from all of the Canadian offices. It is sent here whenever there is space available in a shipment that is already planned. This means that the staff on the shop floor are taking the time to make sure that there is not a single bit of wasted space on a pallet or in a case. This ensures that we are not negatively impacting the environment with soft plastics. |

| CABLE RECYCLING | | | Christie Lites has an in-house cable repair depot at the Vancouver location. This facililty repairs in excess of 2500 cable assemblies per year, maintaining our national cable inventory of over 110,000 units in top shape. As a result, there is a regular need for the recycling of PVC/rubber/copper in any unusable products. Our Vancouver and Toronto locations both have recycling vendors who recapture usable copper and recycle all insulating materials through approved methods.
| Presently there is no information available to publish regarding the amount of copper and metals that we have diverted from going into the landfills.
